These are alternate PageRank icons I developed for the "Firefox PageRank extension"http://www.tapouillo.com/firefox_extension/. You can read more about the icons in my blog entry about Color Page Rank Icons.
I wouldn't suggest downloading executable code from someone you don't know. Furthermore, I don't intend to keep up-to-date with newer versions of the extension, and I certainly don't want to be responsible for any bad installs. If you know me, drop me an email and I'll send you the JAR file. Otherwise, here's how I changed the icons:
- Install the PageRank extension for Firefox
- Download my icons
- Find pagerankstatus.jar on your system (on mine, it is here: C:\Documents and Settings\geof\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.8qz\extensions\{DA3A89AB-2DCA-4a29-8FEA-3C9E79BBF113}\chrome)
- Make a backup copy of pagerankstatus.jar (of course!)
- Replace the png files in the content/pagerankstatus directory of the archive (you can use WinZip for this)
- The icons alone: pr-icons.zip
P.S.: I prefer Windows 2000 (or at least I did before I switched to Mac) and I'm not a designer, so these might not look quite as good on background colours that aren't close to grey. If anyone wants, I can send you the Corel PhotoPaint files.
